A floor unit in a kitchen is usually made to a standard depth (front to the back) and height in a wide range of widths - usually 300 to 400 to 500 to 800 and 1000mm. The 800 and 1000 sizes are double width with two cupboards or drawers. On double units, which may be used with a sink on top, both doors can left or right handed.
